Another little gem on Southampton's Bedford Place this Deli come eatery is a fabulous place for a light lunch with a great selection of sandwiches, soups and pastries. Room for Food has been at the same location for around 7 years, with the current owners taking the reins around 5 years ago, with a very quiet chilled out feel the inside is full of great ingredients mainly Italian and blackboards full of tasty treats, outside is a large seating area to enjoy the funky lifestyle and beautiful people of Bedford Place.
After seeing the special of the day on their Facebook Page I plumped for the Aberdeen Angus on granary with beetroot, horseradish and watercress with a cappuccino and marvellous it was too. Nutty bread with rich deep flavoured beef, hot horseradish, sweet beetroot and peppery watercress absolutely perfect and lots of it. The cappuccino had a fabulous deep rich warm flavour which lingered for a long time, light foam and plenty of it made for a great lunch.
Thanks to Room for Food for fab service, amazing food and drink and a wonderfully relaxing experience, I'll be back soon.
