iPhone iPad Photo Collaboration what a grand idea, what amazing possibilities, what opportunities we can develop.
It's nearly a month since I took delivery of my iPad and started done this exciting new path of mobile integration shoot great images on my iPhone (which just got better with iOS4) edited them with the bigger, faster and easier to use screen of the iPad and then upload to the location of choice.
The last month has been scarily easy, my work flow seamlessly adapted to using the iPad for so much of what I'd done before on both my iPhone and/or my laptop. I'm now taking more photos, editing to a higher quality and sharing more than I have in the past.
Photogene previously an iPhone App now has it's own version for iPad with better tools for Levels, Curves etc. as well as a new group of presets for image editing, cropping and frames along with the benefits of a bigger screen and faster processing.
Camera+ from Lisa Bettany (@mostlylisa) and Tap Tap Tap is an iPhone App that also adapts well to the iPad although it is still technically and iPhone App the edit suit works faultlessly at x2 and the tool kit is great for quick, punchy, interesting images.
You may reasonably tunic from my guessing that all is perfect in my world but sadly not, the biggest flaw is the transfer of images from the iPhone to the iPad which involves shooting an image, saving it and then emailing to myself. I then have to pick up and save the image on the iPad Grrrr. If you have a better solution that is available now please let me know. I have past on my frustration to a couple. Of developers and look forward to seeing what the future holds.
In summary the iPhone iPad Photo collaboration is going well for such an early stage, over the next couple of weeks I hope to get a camera kit and see how editing DSLR images on the iPad works as I have been told that I can edit RAW images direct from my SD card mmmmmm.
Please let me know your experiences and any new ideas.
